By the graveside
Standing still, hearts thump-thump
Eyes whimpering like Saturn’s streams
By the graveside
Standing still, hearts thump-thump
Eyes whimpering like Saturn’s streams
Fumigated as if they were a snake’s venom
Wrapped with polyethylene like papers
Ne’ver exorbitantly casketed like before
Mouths as dumb as doornails
No time for last goodbyes
For fear of proliferation of invisible foe
Like a seed sowed
Fallen fellow rested deep
More than six feet deep
Down deep dungeon
Cold like frosty winters
W-h-y d-o t-h-i- s t-o u-s?
By the graveside
Soil smiling unto the cursed ones
Gone is the one like the passing wind.
